It was rainy at best, but we still had an adventurous weekend.
Thursday, we had our first Bonfire out in the back yard; the weather was perfect. And good thing too, it's been raining the rest of the weekend.
Friday, Josh and I along with our friends Candice and Brian went to Briocca in Akron for dinner.
The food was mouth watering and utter perfection. Josh had amazing Veal Parmesan and I had the Fish special: Crab stuffed Rainbow Trout, with Spinach Orzo and grilled Asparagus. I won't lie, I ate every bite.
Saturday we ventured out and got some much needed shoes and jeans. I picked up my first Klosterman novel, which will make the list after Kavalier and Clay. Josh is going to read them with me. I'm really excited that he wants to read with me, it means alot that he'd try something he might not like just for me.
After coming home we unwound and watched a movie. Hanky loves Josh's new shoes...well the box anyway. He spent quite a while in there, playing and flirting. I keep telling him we aren't going to buy him anymore toys, just boxes and tin foil.
Here he is spying on us:
Sunday morning I made a Frittata for brunch; egg, ham, cheese, peppers, bacon, onion.
Then Josh and went in search of Big Love season 2. I'm enamored with the show. Chloe Sevigny is a fantastic thespian.
This week is Birthday week. I hope the weather loosens up for our Friday rendezvous with the Yankees. Until then, my usual week begins.
I hope you took a moment to thank the soldiers and heroes in your life this week for all they mean to you. I wanna thank Josh, for choosing to defend my freedom in times like these. Your courage inspires me. I love you!
